Worth Noting…
This was an eight week (16 hour) course given through the Honors Department, however, it was clearly demonstrated this could and should be a full semester course in the Psychology, Sociology, or Family Studies Department. Engaging in class was a big determinant of grade, however, it was obvious that student’s interaction went far beyond participating for participating’s sake. They were being challenged and enjoying it. Each slide prompted discussion that was abundant, vigorous, energetic, and full of thought. It feels trite to say we got as much out of the class as they did. Nevertheless, each week had us wishing more and more that we’d had an opportunity to take such a class when we were in school years ago.
